Commercial specialist and trainer Dustin Gellman, who currently serves as CIO for Catylist, Inc., will return to Synergy 2008. Gellman was one of the most popular conference speakers in 2007 and his presentations were filled to overflowing. His presentation will focus on marketing techniques and will cover practical aspects of modern Market Research: setting goals, developing a plan, finding information, organizing and maintaining information and research support. CRM topics as they relate to Market Research will be: capabilities, strategy, a comparison of available databases, how to plan CRM for your company, 3rd party data, improved customer service, and how to measure return. The Email Marketing will: define e-marketing and review current practices, discuss different formats, discuss creating effective brochures and targeting to the correct recipients, how to ensure delivery and CAN-SPAM compliance, and measuring and quantifying results.
Dustin Gellman has worked at the intersection of commercial real estate marketing, research, and technology since 1996. Licensed at eighteen, Dustin apprenticed as a real estate salesperson for five years and earned his CCIM designation in 2001. Subsequently, he co-founded Catylist Inc., a real estate software and marketing company,and leading provider of commercial information exchange solutions for real estate communities including CPIX. Dustin also served as the CCIM Institute’s Chief Information Architect from 2002-2006. Dustin holds a BA in economics and history from Northwestern University, and will complete an MBA in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management in 2008. Beyond work and academics, his personal interests include marathons, triathlons, backpacking, food & wine, and photography.
