Gary Vandenberg obtained his B.A. of Economics and Political Science in 1973. After a year of law school, including real estate and contract law, he decided to make real estate his vocation.

He has bought, developed, sold and exchanged properties for the last 34 years.

Vandenberg joined the Realtor’s Land Institute in 1981 and learned about estate exchange through that group. He is a past Michigan Realtor’s Land Institute Marketer of the Year. He twice was Michigan RLI President and sat on the RLI National Executive Council.

He has studied the art of real estate exchange with such exchange greats as Richard Reno, Charles Chatham and Warren Harding.

Vandenberg is presently a Governor of the Society of Exchange Counselors. The SEC is a select group of the top real estate exchangers throughout the country.

Nancy and Gary Vandenberg live on a seven-acre estate in Grand Rapids.
