John Pehrson was born in Ludington in 1942 and was raised on a farm in Mason County that was homesteaded by his great-grandparents in 1873. This rural upbringing “grounded” him in the land and provided the inspiration for an eventual career as a vacant land investor.

John graduated from Mason County Central High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Michigan State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. He has been granted an Accredited Land Consultant designation by the Realtors Land Institute, and an Equity Marketing Specialist designation by the Nation Council of Exchangers.

John and his wife, Mary Jo, currently reside in Ada, Michigan and invest in land in various locations.

John’s book, “Investing in Vacant Land” is scheduled for publication near the end of 2007.
